Equality and Diversity Statement
Pensford Primary School welcomes a diverse population of both students and staff. In order to consolidate and build upon this diversity, it is essential that equality of opportunity and the absence of unfair discrimination be at the core of all the School’s activities.
We believe firmly and strongly in equal opportunities for all, and are pleased to adhere to The Partnership Trust's Equalities Policy, which you can find here. This includes the equalities objectives, in appendix 2.
Our school value of 'happiness' encompasses an ethos in which we want all children and adults to thrive, whatever background and characteristics they happen to have. We engage our children in this regularly, such as in our consultation with them on which famous people will best represent both a diverse society and our school focus on wellbeing and fairness.
In addition, each member of the School community is responsible for preventing unfair discrimination or harassment or victimisation which it is within their control to prevent; and challenging or reporting such in appropriate behaviour if it occurs.
