Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy

Our Designated Safeguarding Leader (DSL) is Mr Warrick Barton (Headteacher).  Our Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leader (DDSL) is Mr Sam Miller (Senior Teacher).  Our Safeguarding Governor is Helen Stockwell.

Our comprehensive Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy, updated in September 2024, can be found here.  This takes full account of the September 2024 version of Keeping Children Safe in Education.

At the centre of what we do for safeguarding, we "see, hear, believe and act".  This involves taking a "professional curiosity" about families' situations, in the interest of safeguarding children.  If you do have a concern you need to report out of school hours, please do so using our anonymous online reporting link.

Our Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy is linked to a number of related policies such as these:

Anti-bullying policy

Attendance Policy

Behaviour Policy

First Aid Policy

Harmful Sexual Behaviour (HSB) Protocol

Health and Safety Policy

Lockdown Procedure

Online Safety Policy

Staff Induction Booklet

Staff Safeguarding Flow Chart

Supporting children with Medical Conditions

We also follow the Trust-wide policies, all of which can be found here.
